Valley Quilters Guild

Every quilter has a masterpiece inside.

Gaming Committee

The Gaming Committee consists of the Gaming Chairperson, the Treasurer, and other interested members. The Gaming Chairperson, or Member in Charge, must have passed the State of Alaska Games of Chance and Skill Test. It is recommended that more than one committee member pass the test.

A separate banking account is required for Gaming purposes. The Gaming Chairperson is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and transmittal of all records and reports required of the permittee per State statutes.

The purpose of the Gaming account is educational; the proceeds from all raffles sales will be used for education through the purchase of quilt books for our library, teachers for quilting classes, educational supplies and associated expenses, expenses for out-of-state teachers (i.e. transportation & lodging), local community services projects, and grants for teachers in Alaska for teaching fiber arts.

Committee member responsibilities include attending a Gaming Committee meeting once a month, assisting the Chairperson with distribution of raffle tickets for sale, and other appropriate tasks.
