"Flower with Pop of Black & White" by Kandis

One entry is one block.

3 Fabrics Needed: 1 black with white, 1 white with black, 1 with medium-scale floral
Cut:
-
3 – 3 ½” squares black/white
-
3 – 3 ½” squares white/black
-
1 – 3 ½” square med-scale floral
Cut:
-
1 – 3 7/8” square black/white in half on diagonal
Cut:
-
1 – 3 7/8” square white/black in half on diagonal
Sew one of each HST together to make 2 half square triangles (HSTs) that measure 3 ½”. Square if needed.
Assemble the block: You can chain piece, (sew one after the other without breaking thread). Sew the first 2 of row 1 together, then the second 2, and last the third 2. Keeping the sections connected, sew the 3rd block on the 1st row, the 3rd block on the 2nd row (next to the flower), and last HST to the 3rd row. Press your rows in opposite directions so they nest together at the seams. Match & pin your connected rows together and complete your block.
