"Patriotic Twisted Block" by Kathy
One entry is four 4 ½” unfinished units, two of each mirror image. DO NOT SEW BLOCKS TOGETHER.
Two entries is 8 units (4 of each mirror image).
Notice that the square on the left, above and the square on the right are different. You will make two of each for one entry. DO NOT SEW TOGETHER, SUBMIT AS UNITS.
Supplies: 2 - 4 7/8" squares red
1 - 5 1/4" square blue
1 - 5 1/4" square white
Cutting:
Red half-square triangles: Cut 2 – 4 7/8” squares, cut each one diagonal
White quarter-square triangles: Cut 1 – 5 1//4” square, cut on both diagonals to form 4 – quarter-square triangles.
Blue quarter-square triangles: Cut 1 - 5 ¼” square, cut on both diagonals to form 4 quarter-square triangles.

You will make two of each for one entry.
DO NOT SEW THE FOUR SQUARES TOGETHER.
