Mary Kay Wardlaw
Mary Kay has been a member of the Valley Quilters Guild since 2022 and has been active on the Education Committee. She has assisted with Block-of-the-Month, meeting setup, and the planning and promotion of educational classes. She also volunteers for a variety of Guild activities, including the Fair and Service.
Mary Kay retired in 2019 after a 35-year career with the University of Wyoming Extension. She began her career as a 4-H and Home Economics field educator and later served as Director of Wyoming’s low-income nutrition program, where her responsibilities included grant writing and management, hiring and training staff, and curriculum development. For her final four years, she served as Associate Director for Extension.
As President of the Guild, Mary Kay would like to tap into the skills and abilities of Guild members to further enhance the goals and mission of the organization.

Linda Conover
Linda designed a new website for the Guild and serves as its webmaster. She also chairs the Bylaws Committee, co-chairs the Technology Committee, and serves on the Education Committee and Service Commttee.
Her recent work updating the Bylaws, along with her ongoing work with the Bylaws Committee revising the Guild’s Standing Policies, has given her a strong background for serving as Parliamentarian.
A 50-year resident of the Mat-Su Valley, Linda began quilting in 1965 with a double wedding ring quilt as her first project—a decision she immediately regretted! Over the years, she has won numerous ribbons at the Fair, but is most proud of her needle-turn appliqué quilt, which won Division Champion.

I’ve been a member of the Valley Quilters Guild since 2020, and I love the time I spend with fellow Guild members. I’m thankful for the people I have met and for the kindness and patience everyone has shown me as I continue to learn and grow as a quilter. Being part of VQG has been a rewarding experience, and I look forward to giving back to the Guild and serving as your Historian.
