VALLEY QUILTERS GUILD

EDUCATION INFORMATION

Valley Quilters Guild is very focused on education.  Educating Quilters that is!

Classes are held regularly at the Depot in Palmer for members to attend during our monthly "Open Sew's".  It is up to the member to sign up for the class during the monthly General Membership Meeting, or to contact the Education Committee, or any Board Member, who can be able to get word to the particular person in charge of that class session.

What is an "Open Sew" you ask?  Well, the Guild provides the Depot for all members who desire to come, FREE OF CHARGEValley Quilters Guild encourages anyone who has an interest in quilting to come find out what it is all about. Perhaps your Grandmother quilted? Your Mother?  Perhaps your neighbor quilts and gave your family a wonderful wallhanging that you would LOVE to learn how to make!!

Whatever the reason or inspiration to learn about quilting, all that matters is that you pursue it!  Most of us quilters will quickly state that we are "Obsessed". Maybe not with quilting itself, maybe with fabric collection, or finding vintage quilts and buying them, perhaps you will be obsessed with taking class after class to learn as much as you can!  No matter, it none of it has a right or wrong when it comes to being a quilter.  We all fit together very well and understand the others world.

Quilters are very focused on what can be done in their community with their obsession of making these beautiful quilts!  Well, Valley Quilters Guild has a handle on that too, we call it Service! (click to go to Service Page).
