The Valley Quilters Guild currently consists of approximately 180 members.  There is a "standard" Board of Directors, that consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Parliamentarian, Historian and Librarian

General Membership Meetings:  Held the first Thursday of each month at the Palmer Train Depot in downtown Palmer, AK.  7:00 PM should find you seated and ready for the Presidents starting bell.  It helps to arrive at least 30 minutes early so you can find a seat, sign in of course!  You will drop off your Secret Pal present, if you are participating in the SP program. Sign in for any volunteer spots-committees, hospitality-snacks for meetings, or classes if any are out and accepting sign ups. The Fat Quarter and Gift basket drawings are open for sign up and ticket purchase before each meeting and during break, so it is very important if you want tickets to get to the Depot early and buy them because the line is often long prior to each meeting. During break there are often other fun things to do, so you might not want to wait for break to get your basket tickets-just a friendly tip!!

Group Participation:  These are the "FUN" things we do at EVERY SINGLE MEETING!!! You can
join in and participate or not, your choice. 
There is actually one event that is part of this benefit which is something you sign up to participate in ALL YEAR LONG-Secret Pal Program, Starting in January, you will bring a SP gift to each and every meeting to be placed upon the table just inside the Depot entry doors. If you are signed up, you do not just give, You GET!!  Watch the table during break and after the meeting for a SP gift to appear with your name on it. Take it and enjoy! Do not forget your Pal!

Fat Quarter Exchange, bring from 1 to 3 DIFFERENT FQ's (18" X 22") of the color designated for the month which the meeting is being held. The colors are listed in your Block Pattern Pack's which guide you in making the exchange blocks each month. The Patchwork Piecer will give you the months current color as well. So be sure to pull out some fabric, Measure Twice and Cut Once!! Then you could be one of the lucky winners of a bundle of FQ's to take home and make a quilt with!  Quite often there are so many FQ's that they are broken up into 2 to 3 different bundles for more than 1 winner!!
